Post-Halloween thoughts

I couldn't pass up sharing:

- The morning after Halloween the boys came into the kitchen and Peyton asked if he could have one of his Halloween treats. I thought 'Here we go'. But then he said 'Please, please, please can I have my apple from Grandma.' and Jackson jumped in and said 'Me too - Pleeeeese!' I was thrilled and loved that I could say Yes instead of No.

- On the way home from school I asked the boys what their favorite thing was about Halloween, fully expecting a one word answer - CANDY! Instead Jackson said 'playing with my cousins' and Peyton said 'I liked playing with my cousins and my aunties and everybody!' Awwwwww.

- Yesterday evening Peyton earned a candy corn for something he did all by himself (yes, just one:) He took it and came back and said 'Mommy, this one has no white. It's missing its white." It took me a minute to figure it out. His candy corn was orange with a yellow top, but was missing the white tip. He didn't want it and wanted a 'right' candy corn. 'I don't want a silly candy corn' he said like it was defective. Tate and I were trying so hard not to laugh!

Trick or Treat

Duck Tales - woohoo! Peyton, Jackson & Brett aka Huey, Dewey and Louie. I'm Mrs. Beakley and Tate is Scrooge McDuck (use your imagination :)
I love Halloween and every year I think I enjoy it more. We have a tradition of hosting the Halloween party - everyone comes and dresses up and Uncle Jackie makes super yummy chili and it's loud and awesome!
I particularly enjoyed Trick or Treating - watching the kids get so excited and they are really starting to get it! My niece Sophie would run from each house shouting "I got candy!" like she couldn't believe it and it was so contagious and adorable.
Here are some photos from the party:
