First Tennessee football game

I decided to make this a separate post because it was a first. As we were planning to visit Tennessee this fall Tate asked me what I thought about bringing the boys to their first Vols game. I knew the boys would love it, but wondered if they were too young. Tate said that his cousin Jenny went to her first game when she was 4 so I figured we would give it a shot. I remember my first Vol Walk and game and was excited to share the experience with the boys. Tate was psyched. We all had a blast.
Special thanks to Jenny, Aunt Brenda & Uncle Steve who went out of their way to make it a very special day. We enjoyed lunch on the campus, the boys got to meet the Smokey mascot, we had a front row seat to seeing the marching band and cheerleaders perform pre-game while enjoying a "T" cookie from Aunt Brenda, played in the family area on inflatables, met the real Smokey, played football on campus and it was all topped off by a great game. The boys LOVED it and Brett couldn't get enough. It was an amazing day start to finish and even though we ducked out a bit early because the boys were getting tired they beat Akron!
Here are some of the highlights:

Lots of fun with Smokey - he was so great with the boys and it was one of their favorite memories of the game!

Yep, Brett is rockin' an orange mohawk and playing peek-a-boo with Smokey.

Peyton and Auntie Nancy and Jackson and Tate cheer on the players as they head into the stadium.

Jackson & Peyton wait for their turn so they can race each other.
Brett loved meeting the real Smokey.

And the Vols Girls Volleyball team!

Brett got rock star seating so Tate joined him in the sea of orange.

Auntie Kerry treated to a snow cone - they didn't offer any to anyone not even Uncle Steve.
