First Tennessee football game
I decided to make this a separate post because it was a first. As we were planning to visit Tennessee this fall Tate asked me what I thought about bringing the boys to their first Vols game. I knew the boys would love it, but wondered if they were too young. Tate said that his cousin Jenny went to her first game when she was 4 so I figured we would give it a shot. I remember my first Vol Walk and game and was excited to share the experience with the boys. Tate was psyched. We all had a blast.
Special thanks to Jenny, Aunt Brenda & Uncle Steve who went out of their way to make it a very special day. We enjoyed lunch on the campus, the boys got to meet the Smokey mascot, we had a front row seat to seeing the marching band and cheerleaders perform pre-game while enjoying a "T" cookie from Aunt Brenda, played in the family area on inflatables, met the real Smokey, played football on campus and it was all topped off by a great game. The boys LOVED it and Brett couldn't get enough. It was an amazing day start to finish and even though we ducked out a bit early because the boys were getting tired they beat Akron!
Here are some of the highlights:
